The Pin-Thief and the Sunflowers

SOFIA FEDOROVA

“I know the stones are merely glass” and “the water grows darker with the sky” and “gentle rain on the roof” – so exquisite and so heart-real and so moving are Sofia Fedorova’s poems here that they belie this being her first book. The Pin-Thief and the Sunflowers documents – with gorgeous and unfailing vision – the wonders and challenges of dailiness and solitude. The poems here want to reach you and they do so with authentic power and genuine tenderness. This is a spirit-oomph of a collection!
